champagne Voirin Jumel Cuvée 555

Why Vintage 555 ?

Seven years ago, driven by curiosity and the skills of the wine-making process  , Patrick performed an oak barrel vinification.  A successful challenge !
With a certain pride, this champagne is called  the 555 Cuvée as the Voirin Jumel House is located 555 rue de la  Libération at Cramant.

Barrels :

15 barrels are necessary to produce the Cuvee  555. They have very little tannin and were restored by a cooper in Burgundy.

The taste of the Cuvée 555:

The long contact between the deposit and the oak of the barrel gives the Cuvée 555 its woody taste, aromas of spiced bread and candied fruits. Delicately perfumed to be savoured slowly with a truffled  foie gras.

Made from 100% Chardonnay Grand Cru  (blend of  2005 and 2006), the Cuvée 555   will not lose its freshness over  the years but will gain elegance each year.

Compared to the rest of the VOIRIN-JUMEL champagne range,  the Cuvée 555 is characterized by its golden yellow colour, its delicate bubbles, its subtle oaky  nose and especially the deep candied fruits and gingerbread flavours.

Four stars in the revue des vins de France magazin  "This pure chardonnay performed admirably . Focussed aromas, in a powerful style which should open out on 2, 3 years”. This will appeal to those who like generous and full-bodied Champagnes.
